We present to you a map of Dalmatia and neighboring territories, including Bosnia, from 1690. The map is the work of Vincenzo Mario Coronelli, one of the most important cartographers of the 17th century, with additions by JB Nolino, printed in Paris.

The map shows the area of Dalmatia in detail, including coastal towns, islands, rivers and mountains. Special attention is paid to the display of fortifications, the map shows the areas of Dalmatia, Istria, the Adriatic Sea, and parts of Bosnia, Serbia and Albania. Territorial borders, coastal lines, maritime routes, important settlements and fortifications are emphasized. Venetian Dalmatia, which was then under the administration of the Republic of Venice, is particularly prominent. trade routes and natural features that were important for shipping and trade of that time.
