Replicas of old cards as business gifts – Testimonium Latinum

Testimonium Latinum is a Croatian souvenir and gift project launched from an idea that came out of sheer necessity: from a gift to a loved one in the form of a diploma in Latin simply because it was too late to buy any other gift. And as it usually happens, the gift was liked not only by the one for whom it was intended, but also by many others.
One conversation over coffee (maybe a beer :)) of two enthusiasts was enough to start working on something completely new and unknown on the market: a unique Croatian souvenir in the form of a diploma in Latin and a replica of an old card or a diploma as an independent gift.

Whether as a souvenir or as a personal or business gift, Testimonium Latinum has a unique content and appearance.

The diploma contains the author’s text in Latin (with translation, of course); it has the form and discourse of a diploma – it is printed on 175 gm paper (replica parchment), written in Roman uncial and sealed with a wax seal: the name of the diploma holder is entered later.

A replica of a valuable old map is another part of a souvenir and business gift: the tickets have been digitally restored, redesigned (just a little revived, we haven’t moved continents), printed in B3 format on a parchment replica with a motif of a Croatian city or region.
Everything is packed together with the translation in a cardboard sleeve (dimensions ø 5cm x 35cm) or like an antique scroll, rolled up and wrapped in a hard wrapper and tied with ribbon.

Although we were immediately delighted with the idea, we are terribly proud to have been recognized in more than sixty outlets throughout Croatia: souvenir shops, gift shops in museums and hotels and in one of our largest publishing houses.
Thank you very much for that: but we do not sleep on our laurels, we are still working hard, working out and coming up with new ideas.

Old maps are very fascinating, so it is convenient to place them in a part of the space without a lot of pronounced details. It is convenient to connect the motif shown on the map and the region in which the space is located, which is welcome for hotels and restaurants as an outstanding contribution to cultural tourism.
